Background: Thandekile lives with her mum and siblings in Chinotimba Victoria falls, Zimbabwe. She loves studying and wishes to be an advocate of girls and women’s rights.

Angel Alufasi (15)

Birthdate: April 8, 2006

Aspirations: Wants to be a culinary chef when she grows up

Background: Angel lives with her mother in Chinotimba Victoria Falls. She enjoys cooking and helping others and wishes to be a culinary chef when she grows up.

Background: Busi is a bright young girl who lives with her grandmother in one of Victoria Falls’s tough communities called Esikhwahleni or “the squatters camp” in English. But she has not let her background or environment define who she is and is determined to become a force to be reckoned with in the film industry when she grows up.

Background: SK, as she is called by her friends, is a bubbly girl who lives with her mum at the Esikwahleni or Squatters camp” in Victoria Falls. She loves dancing and her favorite subjects at school are Mathematics and Accounts.

Background: Tapiwa lives with her dad in the township of old Chinotimba in Victoria Falls. She is currently in 6th grade and should be two grades ahead but her dad has been unemployed for a long time and has been failing to raise the adequate funds to take her through school.

Vannessa Nhamo (17)
