Creative Expressions Contest

Hello All!

I am so excited to announce that I will be starting a new initiative that will launch in just a couple of weeks, so stay tuned. In the meantime, I invite you all to participate in GSGC’s second annual creative contest. Last year, you may recognize this as the “I Am An African Girl” contest. Now that there is one boys club, they are calling it the Creative Expressions contest!

The contest began on Saturday, August 29th and goes through this Sunday the 13th. You can participate by visiting https://www.gsgivingcircle.org/creative-expressions-2020/ and voting on your favorite entry.

How the contest works:

  • Girls and boys from several clubs have created remarkable pieces of artwork to showcase

  • They submitted entries to their aunties who then passed it along to Giving Circle for a first round of judging

  • Now, all of the top entries are showcased on the GSGC website for you to decide the winner

  • There are 5 creative categories - Drawing & Painting, Essays, Performing Arts, Poetry & Spoken Word, and Crafts

How you can participate:

  • Visit the link above to cast your vote by September 13th

  • Donate to vote on anywhere from one entry to as many as you’d like

  • Share with your friends and family and encourage them to participate as well

Your support is always so greatly appreciated and it truly means the world to these girls and boys to have their work showcased. I strongly encourage you to take a few minutes out of your day to see what these incredible teenagers have to offer while also supporting an incredible cause.

Please stay tuned for an update on my next initiative in the next couple of weeks and, in the meantime, go participate in the Creative Expressions contest!

Love,

Emily

Back by Popular Demand GSGC club members so enjoyed last year's creative contest - dubbed I Am An African Girl - that they wanted an opportunity to showcase their talents this year too!
